How it works
Each story, step by step
1 · Story – read, then guess
Read or listen to the story, then guess what each highlighted idiom means before you're told. Guessing first – even wrongly – makes the answer stick.
2 · Learn
Meanings with a vivid memory tip for each idiom, the memory chain in story order, and a one-line hook that ties all five together.
3 · Practice
Three rounds that get harder: match → fill the story → type from memory. Mistakes come back until you get them right.
4 · Test
10 questions, no hints, no feedback until the end. Score 8/10 to pass and unlock the next story.
Already know a story? · Skip check
Take the story's test straight away instead of the four steps. Score 8/10 and you skip ahead to the next story – one try a day, and the idioms still come back in your review.
Every day · Spaced review
Idioms you've passed come back after 1, 3, 7 and 14 days. A short review comes first before each new story – remembering them just before you forget is what makes them permanent.
Your pace
Stories unlock one at a time: pass the test, then the next story opens at midnight after the wait. Changing the pace applies to stories you haven't started yet.
